Where Our Story Began
- Meet Evie
Before Simplified Tech opened its Robotics & AI Lab and Store, there was Evie.
Evelyn Phylistina — known to most simply as Evie — was introduced in early 2024 as the Caribbean’s first humanoid loans officer, built by the team that would go on to found Simplified Tech. She was never meant to be a product on a shelf; she was proof that a physical robotic platform and artificial intelligence could work together to support real customer interactions and real business processes, in a live operating environment rather than only as a lab demo.
Standing a little over 5 feet tall and weighing approx. 99 pounds, with a sleek frame of impact-resistant plastic and metal, Evie was built to greet clients, process documents, and guide/take loan applications. She remains hard at work today at Simplified Lending, where her story began.
The confidence gained in building and running Evie in a live business is what gave Simplified Tech the foundation to open its Robotics & AI Lab and Store, and to start building AI Agents for businesses across the Caribbean.
